Sometimes, a donation is entered incorrectly. In such a case, you can easily edit or delete the transaction.
To edit a donation:
1. Go into the admin panel and navigate to Finances
2. Click the Transactions tab
3. Click the tab that corresponds to the type of transaction you need to edit (e.g. if you want to edit a regular donation that was incorrectly entered, just stay on the monetary sub-tab.
4. Click View Existing
5. Search for your donation using any combination of name or date. Be sure to select whether it is from an org or individual. The system will return a list of donations that match the criteria you entered in the above step.
6. Simply select the radio button for the correct transaction you want to edit, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Edit Transaction.
Hint: the more specific you make your search, the shorter the list of transactions and the less you have to scroll down.
You will now see a form that is almost exactly like the form to enter a donation, completed with all the details of the donation selected above to edit.
To edit, simply click the edit image, correct any information, then click save.
To Delete the donation:
- Follow all the steps above until you get to the form where you can edit any transaction detail.
- Instead of editing the details, click the delete icon at the top-right of the form.
